Kenyan bishops blame corruption, ethnic tensions for insecurity

Residents flee from Kakate, Kenya, following an overnight attack June 24. Attackers armed with machetes killed at least five people in nearby village, close to where gunmen shot down about 65 people earlier in the month. Kenyan bishops are calling for re forms in the nation's security.

NAIROBI, Kenya - Kenya's Catholic bishops blamed "inherent corruption" and ethnic tensions for the country's recent insecurity.
