Speak, bishops, speak

The Sept. 20 Register article “Gender ideology rallies draw thousands” concludes with this sentence: “A number of public school boards issued statements in support of the LGBT community as the rallies took place, but Catholic boards remained silent.”

However, it wasn’t just the Catholic boards that remained silent about the 1MillionMarch4Children. It was the bishops, not just in one province but across Canada.

The shepherds have said nothing as comprehensive sex-education, which for the most part is anti-Catholic, has colonized even Catholic schools in Ontario and the rest of the country. The important question remains: Why have the bishops chosen to abandon the school children and help parents direct their faith formation in the face of a toxic ideology?
