CatholicRegister.org site update.

As many of you noticed, our web site was afflicted by Easter bugs (and we don't mean bunnies) that forced an unexpected shutdown. We apologize to those who tried in vain to visit our site during this time.

The good news is that not only are we back up and running, but we took this opportunity to launch a new version of our web site that has been in production for several months. So you will notice a fresher look and some other new features.

Most important, the new site has been built using the latest web technology, so catholicregister.org is now compatible with tablets and mobile devices. It has never been easier to access our site from anywhere at any time.

You should also notice the site loading faster, and we have streamlined the content to make it easier to find what you are looking for. In coming weeks, we will be expanding our content offering to provide readers some additional features.

Meantime, we will be ironing out some wrinkles and refining the design over the next days and weeks. Catholicregister.org has been in operation for 18 years so it is a mammoth undertaking to move all our archived content to the new site. Please bear with us as we make the transition.

Finally, if you notice a bug, or wish to share a comment about the new site, please send an email to: web@catholicregister.org.
