ShareLife golf tourney goes June 13

TORONTO - A new venue, expanded course and great memories await golfers attending the 12th annual ShareLife Golf Tournament on June 13.

All proceeds from this event go toward ShareLife’s corporate campaign. The corporate campaign reaches out to businesses for contributions to ShareLife, the charitable fund-raising arm of the archdiocese of Toronto.

It’s a great way “to enjoy fellowship, the sport they love and provide additional funding,” said Keith Hall, manager of corporate and community campaigns at ShareLife.

Sponsorship packages vary in cost, from $300 to sponsor a tee to $20,000 to become an event sponsor.

During the tournament, golfers will get a barbecue lunch, a reception at the 19th hole and dinner, prizes and a silent auction. This year, golfers can expect a 27-hole tournament at the Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility in Ajax.

Returning golfers can also expect to see many familiar faces. According to Hall, early indications show that most companies are returning, with some already beginning to register, along with Scotiabank as the lead sponsor. Also new this year is the option of attending the dinner only.

To register, contact Candace Wilson at (416) 934-3400 ext. 540  or cwilson@archtoronto.org, or Hall at (416) 934-3400 ext. 553, keithhall@archtoronto.org.
