Facts first: Vatican seeks scientific data before making judgments

Theoretical physicist and cosmologist is one of the members of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences that the Vatican wants to draw from.

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican believes scientific facts exist and it wants to hear about them from world-renowned scientists before it offers guidance on or criticism of related political, social or economic policies.

Vatican paper: Ideology can slant scientific views of difference in sexes

L'Osservatore Romano published an article saying that scientific conclusions about sex differences have changed throughout history.

VATICAN CITY – Be cautious about scientific data that offer to be the sole basis and single explanation for the differences between men and women, the Vatican newspaper said.
