A vibrant coloured illustration of the Nativity is among the Christmas stamps issued by Canada Post this year, continuing a tradition in place for 60 years.

This year’s Holy Family stamp shows Mary and Joseph looking lovingly at the infant Jesus, with a star visible overhead which announced our Saviour’s birth and led the Magi to Jesus in Bethlehem.

Designed by Underline Studio and illustrated by Amanda Arlotta, the issue includes a booklet of 12 domestic rate stamps and an official first day cover.

Canada Post has also issued a secular series, introduced nearly 20 years ago, featuring elaborately decorated gingerbread houses.

The stamps are available at canadapost.ca and postal outlets nationwide.

A version of this story appeared in the December 22, 2024, issue of The Catholic Register with the headline "Nativity graces stamp, a Canada Post tradition for 60 years".
