Current Toronto worship restrictions unchanged by Ontario stay-at-home order

Ontario’s stay-at-home order put into effect at 12:01 a.m. today won’t change current restrictions currently in place for worship services in Toronto.

Attendance for Mass remains at 15-per-cent capacity of the worship space for sacramental celebrations, outside of funerals, which are limited to 50 people.

Outside of Toronto, in areas that had looser restrictions, the 28-day provincial order will reduce capacity at celebrations to 15 per cent as the province deals with the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Numbers have risen dramatically in recent days due to more infectious strains of the virus.

In Quebec, the hardest hit areas are also seeing more limits being imposed on worship services, with a cap of 25 in attendance.
