Famine relief campaign hits $3.8 million with matching funds

An interfaith donation blitz on behalf of 20 million people threatened with famine in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen has resulted in $3.8 million headed overseas in the name of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace.

Canadian bishops join forces with other faith groups for famine relief

Canada’s Catholic bishops have pulled together a coalition of faith groups to try to keep people from starving to death in South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen. They have until June 30 to be part of the government’s matching fund program.
