Two churches, two sacred places, two struggles

The Basilica of St. Petronius is pictured in Bologna, Italy, in this undated photo. The people of Bologna began building the church in the late 1300s. At its conception, it was supposed to be the largest church in the world with four branches that would have made a structural cross. Only one section exists today.

God has given us two churches, one is found everywhere and the other is found at select places. Some of us prefer one of these and struggle with the other, but both are sacred places where God can be found and worshipped.
