Pope's Homily: 'Shepherds' who seek money, power cause scandal

Pope Francis celebrates Mass Sept. 27 in the chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae at the Vatican. Scandal is "capable of killing: killing hope, killing illusions, killing families, killing so many hearts," Pope Francis said.
VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Church leaders who are attached to money and try to climb the ladder of success wound the church and destroy people's hope, Pope Francis said.
