A pilgrimage is a source of spiritual enrichment, and the dream of a lifetime for many Catholics. And Andreia Lopo, 47, takes “pure delight,” as she says, in helping to make that dream come true.

A crowd of 100,000 pilgrims gathered in the Cova Da Iria Oct. 17, 1913, straining their eyes up to the sky over Fatima, Portugal, expecting a miracle. Suddenly, the sun burst forth from the rain clouds and danced in the heavens, emitting brilliant rays of light, as the masses, frightened, watched on.

VATICAN CITY – On Sunday Pope Francis reflected on the May 13 canonization of the child visionaries St. Francisco and Jacinta Marto, saying that their faithfulness, despite their young age, reminds us to pay special attention to children in the ministry of the Church.

ABOARD THE PAPAL FLIGHT FROM PORTUGAL – While the investigations into the very first alleged apparitions at Medjugorje in must continue, Pope Francis said he has doubts about claims that Mary continues to appear in the village of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
