Medieval crucifix in St. Peter's Basilica 'resurrected' from obscurity

A wooden crucifix from the 14th century is pictured during a media opportunity to showcase its restoration in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican Oct. 28. The crucifix is one of the few items that was present in the original St. Peter's Basilica. The restoration was funded by the Knights of Columbus.
