Vatican reached 'preliminary consensus' with China on bishop appointments: HK cardinal

China and the Vatican have reached consensus on the appointment of bishops, which will lead to the resolution of other outstanding problems, said Hong Kong Cardinal John Tong.

WASHINGTON – After several rounds of dialogue, China and the Vatican have reportedly reached a "preliminary consensus" regarding the appointment of bishops, said Hong Kong Cardinal John Tong.
