Pope Francis appoints new bishop of Hong Kong

Pope Francis appoints Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung Coadjutor Bishop of the diocese of Hong Kong Nov 13. This comes less than a week after rumours of unauthorized appointment of bishops by the Chinese government in the mainland.

VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung Coadjutor Bishop of the diocese of Hong Kong, the Vatican announced Sunday.
