Faith leaders ask U.S. to help meet growing needs of Ukraine's people

Ukrainian Catholic Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk of Kiev-Halych, leader of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, speaks at the National Press Club in Washington Nov. 9. WASHINGTON - "Time is of the essence" to get humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine as winter sets in, a group of Ukrainian religious leaders said in a Nov. 9 appeal to U.S. President Barack Obama.
