Vanessa Santilli-Raimondo: Iceland offers a history rich in faith and harmony

The Hallgrímskirkja is the tallest church in Reykjavík, Iceland, at 74.5 metres.

In Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, the church of Hallgrímur (Hallgrímskirkja) towers above the city. It is the tallest church in Iceland, rising almost 75 metres. Locals boast that you can see its spire from almost anywhere in the city — like a compass of sorts.

Iceland consecrates new wooden church, a gift from Slovakian Catholics

The newly consecrated church in Reykjavik, Iceland, is a gift from the Slovak Catholic Church.

REYKJAVIK, Iceland – Bishop David Tencer of Reykjavik last week consecrated a new wooden church building, a gift from the Slovak Catholic Church.
