Love of baseball, chance to evangelize lead priest to do play-by-play

Father Craig Collison, a priest in the Diocese of Sioux City, Iowa, watches baseball action from the announcer's booth June 4 as the Sioux City Explorers play the Gary, Ind., Southshore Railcats. Father Collison, a play-by-play announcer for the minor le ague team, loves baseball and says being at the ballpark in a priest's collar gives him an opportunity to evangelize.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - From the back, all the men in the press box at the Sioux City Explorers baseball game looked the same. That is, until one swiveled in his seat to take a swig of his Pepsi and the white of a Roman collar appeared.
