Holy Land Christians frustrated by lack of legal action against vandals

JERUSALEM – Christians in the Holy Land, including Catholic leaders, have expressed frustration with lack of legal action against cases of desecration and vandalism of sacred places.

U.S. bishops condemn armed attacks near Jerusalem holy sites as ‘desecration'

WASHINGTON – The president of the U.S. Catholic bishops' conference and two committee chairmen condemned "in the strongest possible terms" the fatal shooting of two Israeli police officers July 14 in Jerusalem's Old City near some of the world's holiest sites.
