Because the truth matters to investors, stock market regulators ought to demand the truth from mining companies with controversial operations in the poorer countries of the world.

California Catholic high school makes millions from Snapchat investment

St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California turned a $15,000 USD investment in Snap Inc., which went public March 2, into a windfall of at least $24 million USD.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – A California Catholic high school did away with future car washes and pizza kit sales March 2 when the $15,000 USD ($20,000) investment it made with Snap Inc., the company that developed the messaging app Snapchat, sold shares to the public and the school stepped into a windfall of at least $24 million USD ($32 million).
