Fr. Jack O'Brien, founder of Canada's first Department of Communication Arts at Concordia University and one of the organizers of the Christian Pavillion at Expo 67, gets a send-off at Manresa Sept. 7, 2-6 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated on the grounds at 2 p.m., followed by a tribute to O'Brien at 3 p.m. and a garden party that runs to 6 p.m.
If it rains, celebrations shift to St. Isaac Jogues Church, 1148 Finch Ave. in Pickering.
