Register named best religious newspaper
WINNIPEG, Man. - For the second consecutive year, The Catholic Register has been named Canada’s best religious newspaper at an awards ceremony to recognize excellence in Christian journalism.
The Catholic Register won 15 awards and was named the No. 1 Christian newspaper in Canada at a gala banquet to recognize excellence in Christian journalism.

2019 CONVENTION
The Canadian Church Press and the Anglican Editors Association of Canada and an informal group of Christian communicators in Winnipeg are teaming up to hold their annual convention in Winnipeg, Man., May 1-3, 2019.

However we also need you to register here so we know how many people will be at the banquet and other events during the first two days. The banquet is Wed., May 1 (5:00 p.m. – reception punch and appetizers, 6:15 p.m. – dinner followed by awards). Banquet registration also includes entry to a discussion on the future of the CCP organization, Thurs., May 2 (9:00 a.m.–noon) and a presentation about a shared online platform opportunity by Crossroads (Lorna Dueck) and ChristianWeek (Brian Koldyk). Catholic Register reporters, editors and designers were recognized for another year of outstanding achievement by taking home 14 awards, including eight first-place honours, at the annual Canadian Church Press gala dinner April 29 in Toronto.
