Controversial Canadian theologian Gregory Baum dead at 94

Baum became a professor of theology and ethics at the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto. He eventually left the priesthood in 1974 and married.
One of Canada’s most influential and controversial theologians, among the few remaining living links to the Second Vatican Council, has died.
