Catholic organizations decry U.S. decision to abandon Paris climate accord

U.S. President Donald Trump announces his decision that the United States will withdraw from the landmark Paris climate agreement June 1 in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington.

WASHINGTON – Catholic leaders said President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate change agreement snubs the needs of impoverished people around the world and eschews responsibility to begin addressing the causes of global warming.
