Historic Windsor’s church is added to endangered places list

Assumption Church in Windsor, Ont., has been added to The National Trust’s Top Ten Endangered Places list.

WINDSOR, Ont. - Our Lady of Assumption Church has been placed on Canada’s 2015 Top Ten Endangered Places list.

Latest bid to restore historic Windsor church falls through

After doing its “due diligence,” the London Diocese has turned down a donation that would help restore Windsor, Ont.’s Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

WINDSOR, Ont. - A $10-million bid to save Windsor’s historic Our Lady of Assumption Church has fallen through.

The battle to save Assumption Church

The nearly 170-year-old Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Windsor, Ont., has been closed by the Diocese of London as it considers a rescue package to save the historic church

WINDSOR, ONT. - Windsor’s historic Our Lady of Assumption Church closed its doors Nov. 3 while the Diocese of London considers a financial rescue package to renovate the church and reopen it again.
