Vietnamese nuns attacked protesting construction on disputed land

Nuns carry a large wooden cross into St. Joseph's Cathedral April 14 in Hanoi, Vietnam, to celebrate Good Friday services.
HANOI, Vietnam – St. Paul de Chartres sisters in Vietnam were attacked by construction site guards while they were protesting the building of a house on their former land. One nun was beaten to unconsciousness, reported ucanews.com.

Vietnamese youth return to cultural roots at concert

Every year, almost a thousand parishioners celebrate at the parish’s annual Christmas concert. This year, the celebration of music and food will be at Anapilis Halls in Mississauga, Ont., on Dec. 2.
While Christmas is for the family, Advent is for the parish.
