St. Francis de Sales deaf ministry celebrates 100 years in Toronto

Deaf ministry a work in progress

Fr. Matthew Hysell, the first deaf priest ordained in Canada. The Edmonton priest says there is more work to be done in deaf ministry in Canada.

TORONTO – When Fr. Matthew Hysell became the first deaf priest ordained in Canada, he saw it as a major sign of the Church reaching out to the community of the hearing impaired.
