They’ll know we are Christians by our love.

Many years ago, we sang that song as elementary school students. I was reminded of it recently while reading the late, bestselling author Catherine Doherty admonish us for no longer promulgating our Christian values when we interact with others.

In her book, Living the Gospel Without Compromise, the Russian-born Doherty complains of a world in which people are isolated by the technological advancements that might have been intended to bring them closer together. Computers and other technological gadgetry beget lonely, introverted people, argues the famed speaker and the founder of Madonna House in Ontario.
