Regarding ‘No quick fix to housing asylum seekers, says ORAT head’ at catholicregister.org, it was so gracious that Tabernacle Church reached out to temporarily house our brothers and sisters with the financial help of Mohamad Fakih.
Although not under the mandate of the Office for Refugees (ORAT), I was hoping and praying that our Catholic community such as downtown churches, our Pastoral Centre and all concerned Catholics would have likewise had such a faith response: to simply get them off the street.
May the Holy Family, refugees in Egypt, inspire us to prayer and action.
