Just my imagination? I don’t think so

  • January 9, 2014

The Christmas holidays tend to be a time to catch up on reading around our house, when the hustle and bustle is over and before we gear up to return to work or school.

One book this year really fascinated me, but not for the reason the author likely intended. Proof of Heaven by Dr. Eben Alexander is a runaway best-seller with two million copies sold in little over a year.

Alexander is a neurosurgeon who claims to have proof that Heaven exists. I don’t need proof, but his story did interest me.

But what truly intrigued me were a few paragraphs near the end that took me back 29 years — Jan. 15 and 16, 1985 — when I experienced a couple things I have often wondered about.
